It's relieving to know that in this overpopulated world the future generations will die of exposure, hunger and deadly bad hygiene once they move out of Mommy & Daddy's house.

Vasquez, I was slightly exaggerating for comic effect in the original post. If I can solve the majority of my computer problems by myself, then I don't think a laundry machine will be that difficult to grasp. Furthermore, the cooking thing doesn't worry me, as most of the foods I eat don't require a lot of work to make. My only real dominant worry is the knowledge that, once I'm alone, I'll be even more dependent on my job then I am now (a job which I'm really starting to think isn't right for me, and I'm hoping to change soon, once I can think of something better).
Oh, AGWPT, I've mentioned it on here many times before but once again, I'm a bookseller at Barnes & Noble. To be more precise, I'm the Newsstand lead, which means I'm in charge of the magazine department.

Get a credit card, just know when and how to use it.
Did you even read who posted this thread?
I must say, you're quite the optimist.

That's not what I wanted to know. Why are you 26 and working at Barnes and Nobles, and making what the government would probably consider poverty-level wages?

These things happen. I didn't get a job with what I consider a decent wage until I was 27. My fiance works in a department store and hasn't even been made a supervisor yet despite the fact he's been there over 5 yrs and has a degree.
In both our cases health problems have been the cause, not helped by the fact that shop work experience is absolutely useless for anything other than getting a job in another shop.
