I think Renz has just proven that figuring out where and how much food to buy is probably the most important money management skill you'll encounter. In short: Don't listen to Renz. $80-100 a week for groceries is flat out fucking absurd.

I don't want to live with people who think I'm self-centered and selfish just because
I don't do a lot of chores or subscribe to a religious belief system that I find to be totally corrupt and bogus, you know (when anyone who really knows me knows that
I'm not selfish at all)?
These statements, they do not add up. Especially if you're not paying anything to live at home. If you can't cook and you don't do your own laundry and you live at home and you don't pay rent and you're
26 then yes, you're a selfish layabout. I'm shocked your parents haven't at least gone through the angry parent fake eviction act yet.
And this is coming from me, 24, live at home, $400 a month rent, pay for all gas, car repairs, medical expenses, 99% of all my own food, do my own laundry, buy my own clothing when occasion merits it, keep my own spaces liveable and more often than not clean the kitchen after my borderline Alzheimer's mother. I plan on moving out early next year as I have to find new employment, find an affordable apartment ($650 a month for a "studio" apartment where the cooking facilities consist of a microwave, hotplate, and sink. 40 miles away from the decent jobs? fuck you Southern California) and more actively establish a credit history to GET said apartment.

How have you not been mobbed to death by angry XXXX bogans yet? For God's sake get out of Queensland whilst you still can! It's a shithole anyway.

In southern california $20 will buy you Five big bags of potato chips.
Ok, I'm exaggerating...it'll buy 6 bags..maybe.
point is folks, grocery prices are alot different depending on where you live. You can get by alot cheaper
on groceries on the east coast U.S. than west coast, or at least southern california.
