Also, The Passion of the Clerks 2
The beginning part of that trailer is committed to my permanent memory now. :cheeky: I know that nipple-twisting has been done before, but damn.
So, I'm kind of unsure about the fact that Miramax isn't doing this one, but apparently "The Weinstein Company" that's making this movie is behind "Scary Movie 4" and will also produce "Sin City 2." I never watched any of that company's previous movies, but I hope this one turns out true to the director's vision.
I am going to see "The Simpsons Movie" in the theater for sure. The show may seem a little dull to me nowadays, but I love the characters enough that I'm willing to put up with whatever plot they decide to put in it.

I just watched "Mirrormask," and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes eyecandy. The story is imaginative, as well.

Checking it out soon.

I enjoyed Mirrormask. Even though I agree with the fact that the plot, along with Neil Gaimen's other work, isn't the greatest it serves as an enjoyable adventure.

The newest episodes of the simpsons I feel are complete crap. I rarely even giggle watching them anymore, and the stories and characters seem like they've been dumb-downed even more than previously. I used to be a simpsons fan in the earlier seasons, but I think it's time for that show to die out, and this movie will probably be terrible if it's written by the television show writers.

Yeah, that post fits in a thread about movies... ANYWAY...
I watched a random flick last night called Eulogy, starring Famke Janssen, Ray Romano, Hank Azaria and Zooey Deschanel among others, and it was amazing in one respect: I was absolutely and positively convinced that this film was actually caught in a time warp and was a film from the 80s which somehow managed to capture the stars as they looked today... It started precisely like some kind of cheesy 80s John Hughs flick and it even had a character driving a REALLY retro VW at the start. It was only halfway when it clicked that I wasn't watching an old film rereleased on DVD, but a new film (it was 2004).
It wasn't a fantastic movie (had a few good laughs though), but I haven't been that convinced of a movie's temporal setting since Munich, which didn't work exactly because of the noticably current stars and one or two moments that jarred with what was possible in 70s movies.

What are you talking about Scots? You started this thread with the Simpsons move trailer. He's just saying that the movie will be crap if it is written by the same guys who write for the show.
