For those who saw it, I would like to know what you thought of this movie. I loved it. To me, Eliade is portrayed as some sort of super-hero, in a very unorthodox way. There's so much in it -- its not just a straightforward hero flick, but offers lots of stuff to ponder about. The origins of human language, the transformations streaming from intimate relationships, etc etc. I also enjoyed the way the italian University gurus were depicted; a pretty adequate caricature in my opinion. Plus the fact that I've visited many of the places in the movie (Romania, Switzerland, etc., but not India yet I'm afraid). Apart from Apocalypse now and the Godfather, I'm not very familiar with other Coppola's other movies, but this Youth Without Youth just makes me want to see more.
