Mouse acceleration making game unplayable

I wouldn't trust an .exe, get a .reg and just check out what it modifies yourself.

Let me know how it works out. Accelfix .exe is a rare program to find so save it well. Hope all accelerations go away on your PC like mine did.

*Avast detected the "virus/worm" Win32:Trojan-gen on this link though I don't know how bad that is or if it's Avast overreacting. Other 2 links are ok I guess?

This WORKS, I've had this problem for YEARS and this fixed it. That acccelfix works miracles.

Guess I'll be stuck with Deus Ex for the next 20 hours or so. Cheers!

I'm under Win7 x64

and I used this wizkids magical fix:

Although it's dirty vb/reg/cmd it works, and is easily reversible.

Although resourceful, that fix has nothing to do with Mouse Acceleration.

It does actually. Installing this fix removes almost all of the problems that are prevalent on modern systems, including accelerated mouse and walking speed. The only one thing that it didn't fix for me was the garbled sound issue; I fixed that by increasing latency from 40 to 60 under the Engine.Player section in DeusEx.ini.

Back again.

My own DX problems were caused by multi-core CPUs I've just determined. Setting the game to run on only one core via task manager fixed it for me. Previously the game would speed up and slow down giving the appearance of mouse acceleration.
