Also remember, the Keepers could easily be on good terms with the rich nobles.
They've been spying on everyone for a long time, and could likely reveal a lot of tradeable secrets about people to ensure they had a comfortable life.

Somehow pots of money, corruption and Thief just go together.

Of course, once the Watch realise how much the Keepers selling their information could destabilise the city, then there could easily be a massive "Witch-hunt" for former Keepers to try and keep the secrets from getting out (at least, to those not in the watch - they're probably open to corruption too)

I would like some enigmatic story, something like Purah's stories, a story with forgotten kings, tombs, rituals etc. Some mix of lovecraft and thief.

Well, here's the result of an almost lightless experiment build.
Should've given it a sky, but instead we have the skyline texture with weird white glare on it.
And it's only almost lightless (because the streetlights have ambient-vertex lights in them to make the bulbs glow, but they're dirt cheap anyway), but the street is 1920 units long, has a ridiculous number of smeshes (even if it doesn't look like, since each plank on the raised platforms is a seperate mesh), and it's not even batting an eyelid at the fps. :D

Nice sky texture. :thumb:
That's pretty cool. One potential problem though... are there actually any shadows to skulk in at all? :p I'm sure we can survive with Flesh's fancy lighting effects, but I can't see that street being easy to sneak down if there were a couple of guards about.

I wasn't going to say anything for a few months, but I do have a plan for a campaing that I can't possibly do on my own. I have working on the first mission for some time and I was going to do few of the first missions to prove it is going to happen. At the moment I'm looking at 30 missions divided to three campaings (some will use the same areas so it isn't really that big).
That may sound huge, but with medium size levels (so medium type Thief 2 levels, and large Thief 3 levels), I think it is doable. The main problem I'm facing is the lack of time. I'm going to start my compulsory military service next monday, so I don't have much free time for the next 6 months (12 if I'm unlucky). Which is the main reason why I was keeping this to myself.
I was also trying to do a teaser for Komag's contest 7, but that is now out of the picture as I only have the story and characters done. The level itself only has the roof beams in place. If anyone wants, I can pass on the Contest 7 mission I have and much of the background information, plus the ideas I had about the level.

Hey, if you have a great story, that would be a perfect beginning! However, 30 missions is still a lot of maps to do . . .

Hmn just show us some stuff(Most of all the story)! Perhaps everybody of us likes it, but that's not guaranteed...
