There could be frobbable coconut trees that drop coconuts when frobbed... which in turn can be picked up and used as distractions! Who needs noise arrows when you have tropical husked fruit? :laff:
Seriously though, that would be great but challenging to make due to the time involved and performance constraints.

I've been working off and on with T3ed, but I've yet to come up with anything cohesive. However, I'm positive that something will eventually come of my work... I think my problem is writers block. I just end up building room after room until I can't remember what my original objective was, and I give up.

If there will be such a project then I really wish that we would make a really creeeeepy map. I love 'em! But with great story, of course.

A community project sounds good. How about having it set right after T3 - now that the Keepers have been revealed to the City I'm sure there would be plenty of plots for Garrett to get caught up in. Maybe the Keepers are looking for some sort of new magic to replace the glyphs, and send Garrett?

I wonder how the city folk take to the Keepers? There could be riots and plots to get back at the Keepers for "spying" on the people. This could be Deus Ex plot inspired. The City Watch could fragment into two different groups where one group who plans to get rid of Garrett once and for all and the other group who wants to help Garrett for saving the City numerous times.

Hmn interesting!! But don't forget that Garrett will have to flee at first to some other country with palm trees ;) .

The two fragments are pretty much the way the Keepers were in T3. If you were a keeper, what would you do if your magic and influence had been taken away from you? I'd say some would move into more traditional white collar jobs, but some would still aspire to an intellectual illuminati, just more overt and accountable than the keepers ever were. Thief fiction usually depicts the rulers of the city as a rich oligarchy, so there could be some mileage in a fight for power between the two groups.

I do like the idea of a community project. Like lots of people I'm being quiet working on C7 and just keeping an eye on the forum... I'd love to take part in a community project though. I'm not sure we should be too ambitious for the first one — maybe just pass around an FM or two for us all to show off what we can do to it to begin with rather than plan a T3X.
Personally, I'm a game design newbie who started C7 with all my ideas based on scripts and archetypes w/ref to introducing some interesting AI behaviour but I am so bogged down with stuff I didn't know or care much about (lighting, skybox, fixing nail-through-blob-of-mercury bsp holes etc) I doubt I'll get chance to implement my original plans :erg:

Without the balancing influence there might be a bit of a power struggle between other groups perhaps. Maybe Mages or some other group would try and fill the power gap - possibly recruiting/manipulating ex keepers for their own purposes..?
I do quite like the idea of lots of money and wealth competing with Garrett for balancing influence...

We could start small then go from there. The advantage to this is we could keep adding to the project as time goes on & distribute what we have.

The Keepers could fragment as well. They could study magic from Pagans or Hammers. This could get chaotic though.
