So as the title says, what was the most memorable game you ever played. And you only get to pick one.
For me - Might and Magic 5 - Darkside of Xeen. First played this in a PC shop back in the very early nineties. The game just blew me away. Was even more fun once I got to play it. Had never seen anything like it. Been a huge fan of the series + Western RPGs ever since.

The first 3D game I played with my brother was Tomb Raider 2, so I guess that.
I remember it from that experience. Although it was very fun, it didn't really blow me away.
Edit: Quickly followed by TDP. It was the two games I got for that Christmas, 1998. Perhaps they should be co-winners for this category.

TDP

TDP, Ultima VIII, Stalker, The Witcher 3.
I will never forget certain parts/moments from these games.
If I had to pick one (besides TDP), it would be Stalker. The last part of Agroprom Undergrounds was a traumatizing experience:

System Shock 2, hands down. For reasons discussed at great length on this site.

Thief, especially TDP. The look and feel of Thief evokes feelings and an atmosphere I've never experienced in any other game. There's something about the textures, art style, rendering, and Eric Brosius's haunting soundtrack that is so darkly enchanting. While I've played mechanically superior games or games with better 'gameplay', no game trumps Thief 1 for me in terms of raw atmosphere.

Deus Ex, SS2, Stalker.

I'd have to say Goonies 2 for the NES.
In retrospect, the game seems so damn cheesy and goofy. It barely has anything to do with the plot of the movies (you end up rescuing a mermaid), but there was something so incredibly cool about it that made it stick in my 9 year old mind. Exploring all those mysterious rooms, with that equally mysterious music playing in the background, finding new equipment and keys hidden in all kinds of far flung, tucked away corners, allowing you to further explore deeper into the caverns. It seemed like I was exploring some forgotten, deeply buried world. Like I was having...an adventure.

Deus Ex, SS2, Stalker.
Remember the rule of this thread which is to only be able to pick one. So yours don't count I'm afraid. I know it's hard to just pick one, but it's all too easy to say several. And in that lies the challenge :p.

If I have to pick just one? Deus Ex.
First game that I ever became truly obsessed with.
