I suppose this might result in spoilers, but personally I like to know if there are things I'm missing.
There are quite a few items one comes across that are very useful, but quite boring, such as armour with fortify health properties.
However I've found a couple of things that add a bit of interest to killing more Draugr Bandit Forsworn Necromancers.
Thanks to Meridia I got hold of Dawnbreaker, which might have been just another dull fire enchanted sword except that it has a nice glowing gem in the pommel, seems to last a long time after recharging, and when despatching undead it produces a quite impressive purple explosion.
I think my favourite item so far is the Wabbajack which can produce a variety of magical effects, instantly kill enemies, as well as turn them into a sweet roll or a chicken. Also, the quest you get it from is one of the most entertaining if a bit glitchy, comparable to the Oblivion quest where you have to rescue the painter from his own painting.
Anyone come across unusual finds worth sharing?

I don't recall exact details since my character was drunk as a lord
Method acting again, Dia? ;)

I think I found out what happens in that quest when I was looking up Hagravens in the UESP wiki. I passed the guy who challenges you to the drinking contest and then forgot about it. I'll have to go on the Skyrim Inn crawl and track him down.
Incidentally, if you could summon Sheogorath, the Daedric lord of madness and have him turn your enemies into chickens that might be a bonus. Come to think of it, this may be possible with a little bit of modding once the construction set surfaces...

I have to agree with you guys, the Wabbajack was the most fun item I got from a Daedra Lord (and Sheogorath is my favorite Daedric Prince....) And I also stumbled across "A Night to Remember", the most strange quest I ever had done....Never before crossed my mind to steal a goat to sell it for gold used to buy a wedding ring for a hagraven, but aparently my character geniously thought of that while drunk....But back to the topic at hand, I guess I also foud very interessting the Ring of Namira.....For those who have not found it, or the quest to it, speak to the Priest of Arkay of Markath....

I used the Wabbajack against one of my bandit enemies; his final transformation was into a sweetroll which I thought would be easy to dispose of by just eating it. Unfortunately, the bandit was on the edge of a small outcropping right by a river at the time of his transformation and his sweetroll-self just bounced, fell into the river and was gone.
Can sweetrolls drown?

A weird one is an armor I got off the leader of the altmer thieves during the Thieves Guild quest line, in that it was disenchantable, but apparently the enchantments can't be used on anything else :/

I found Keening, from Morrowind. But unfortunately it was part of a quest and I wasn't allowed to keep it. :(
