Lara's character growth is shown through both storytelling and gameplay in TR2013.
Uncharted 3 was definitely the best game from a storytelling stand point, simply because it actually had some character focus. (It also was a legitimate reason to bring back the utter non-entity Elena, unlike with U2.)
I hope that with U4 they at least haven't copy-pasted the story structure of U1 for 3RD TIME (Uncharted is frankly more stagnant than CoD, which actually shakes things up quite regularly now. Even with roughly 3 years release gap between each game barely nothing changed with the campaigns' gameplay formula since 2007.)

True. I suppose I'll have to accept the transition from falling down and getting shish-kebabed to running around at full pelt a few minutes later to skewering other people before blowing them up with an RPG is a character arc of some description.

Also at the start of the game she doesn't have a gun. Then later on she has a gun. Then at the end she has TWO GUNS. CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!

I'd go with: At the start of the game, she is a normal human being. She then moves on to being a traumatised human being a short way into the game. Over the rest of the game, she develops into a psychotic mass-murderer.
