One day it's eggs, the next day it's Phalanx grade close-in-weapon-systems.

So... Right-winger victim-blames a mass shooting. Left-winger victim-blames an egging. And Vae thinks the problem is... The left-wing! Because he's so impartial, of course.

You guys are way too slow...The problem is violence on both sides.
It's not okay to shoot up a mosque...and...it's not okay to assault someone because you don't like what they say.

In all seriousness, maybe the egg posts should be moved to a different thread? It just seems to open up a big both-sides door (see above) that doesn't go anywhere.

I'd agree with you, if the violence on both sides were equal. I don't like Antifa or Black Bloc, think they're idiots, but they're mostly responsible for some property damage, a few assaults that ended up with minor injuries, and being general assholes. Nothing on the level we've seen here or in Pittsburgh.
As far as I can tell, the far-right should be glad to have them around, because they provide them such a nice "but-but-but..." whenever shit like this goes down.

Mass murder is a
problem. An egg is an
inconvenience. And we've seen that you cannot even get to the point of both-side-ism until
after you're called out for specifically going after the egg and not the mass murder.

I sure do wish the violence were limited to eggs on both sides. It would even be fun.

Murder is a problem, and assault is a problem...
and supporting an assault on someone, even if they have hate in their heart, is also a problem...It's a problem because it leads to more violence and death.
This is how perpetual violence begins, fueled by the unending need for vengeance....which will give you a lot more than fifty dead.
Supporting violent actions is exactly what that evil psychopathic killer wants you to do right now...and so it's imperative that we do not support the
initiation of force on anyone,
especially in a political context.

I'm not suggesting anyone kill or beat Fraser Anning, and I agree with you insofar that it should never be taken to that point, but it's hard to get worked up over the subtle implications of implied violence inherent in the act of smacking an egg upside someone's head when the contrasting counterpoint is the death and wounding of over 100 people.

It was an egg. Say that with me: an egg. That egg exposed the violence, the REAL violence, inherent in Fannings supporters and himself. That was one hell of an egg to do that. A fucking brilliant egg.
