The usual flow of these conversations are that the left wing folk will go out of their way to accuse the right wing folk of being racist and/or fascist for simply breathing, while the right wing folk always try to twist things around so that the left wing folk are the REAL fascists and racists, usually while ignoring the honest to god fascist and racist stuff that's happening right in front of their faces.
One of the newer trends I've noticed is for hardline Trump fans to accuse the Democrats of being outright anti-semites, primarily for their stance against Israeli military policy in Palestine, and by extension, the BS Ilhan Omar pulled here recently. Bring up the fact that the alt-right tend to be pretty big Trump fans themselves, and that they threw that big shindig in Charlottesville a couple years back, marching in full Nazi/Klan regalia, screaming JEWS WILL NOT REPLACE US, and, well...that's fake news.
And of course Fascism and Nazism have become left wing policies because their ideology didn't outright reject comprehensive universal healthcare. That means they're only a half step away from Communism.

As the sun cleared the horizon Billy Bob adjusted his thermal binoculars and broke out in a cold sweat. There could be no mistaking the thermal signature. His leftist neighbor had just lit a Bic lighter, and worse, there was an egg on the table in front of him. Thinking quickly he got on his intercom connecting to the lower sections of the bunker complex. "The liberals are coming! The liberals are coming!"
This was the moment he had prepared for. His hands were shaking so badly he nearly knocked over his AK 47 with the extended 1000 round double banana magazine. He keyed the mike again, "Dave Bob! Frank Bob! Man the fifty caliber with the fifty gallon drum of ammunition and tell Bob Lee Bob to bring up the extra barrels!" Those things got hot from constant fire and had to be changed. Fox and Friends had been warning him this would happen and here it was at last. Nothing would be left to chance.
Deep within the complex he could feel the rumble of the M1 Abrams roaring to life. He knew it was his wife, Sharon Bob, implementing the final solution to liberals plan that Steve Bannon had discussed on his show. If only he had more time to prepare. He still had not managed to buy the Howitzer from Nugent hunting supply as he had wanted. Damn liberals had cut his paycheck so badly at the coal sniffing factory that he could hardly afford the bucket of hand grenades he was now searching for beneath the counter. This would be a hard battle but he was certain Gawd was on his side and Murika would prevail. Those snowflake cowards hiding behind all the massive firepower of eggs would never take down him and his.
Taking a moment to salute both the US and Dixie flags, he noticed something silver dangling from his finger. Holy Jesus riding a dinosaur, it was a grenade pin! He gazed into the bucket desperately attempting to locate the grenade with the missing pin.
Across the two hundred acre pasture his neighbor, Moonbeam Flowerpants, was just crushing out the joint he had lit. The new stuff they had legalized was too potent for more than a few puffs. As he was picking up his breakfast of hard boiled egg a horrendous jolt of explosion knocked it from his hand. What in hell was Billy Bob up to now? He would call the cops but he didn't feel like getting beat again this week. Instead he just went back inside to watch one of the hundreds of liberal channels beamed to him from communist England and Facist Canada.

That's interesting. Would you happen to have a link to an example of this? Usually, it's people like Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro, and Dinesh D'Souza who make this claim.
It's just that it's hard to imagine anyone making this claim for anything other than ideological reasons. The National Socialists were as much socialist as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) is a Democratic Republic.

The Nazis did have some socialist policies. Fascism in general cribbed from both sides of the political aisle, hence why it's considered a generally centralist form of extremism. Sure, the fascists did have a number of social programs for the citizenry to fall back on, but it buttressed a corporatized economy that allowed for private ownership of land and property within a heavily stratified society that enforced strict lots and gender roles, all lead by a singular king-like figure that everyone swore undying allegiance to. It was imagined as the Roman empire reborn for modern times, with a new Caesar holding the reins.
Fascism wasn't an entirely coherent ideology, being more a knee jerk repudiation to communism, which they saw as effete and collectivist, and an answer to what was considered at the time to be the failures of laissez faire capitalism and classical liberalism. It's not quite leftist, not quite rightist. It took bits and pieces from both, and made its own kind of monster.

Good overall take on the Nazis Renzatic. I have studied this in depth, both on my own and at college. It is a a mental cancer, but a compelling one to those that feel they are threatened. I hate to see it grow today - coming from all parties. I think it is the work of Satan, but one could just say the evil side of mankind. Classical liberal freedom and the rule of law only lasts if the populace are civilized and respect the individual. To be back on point... why did the Aussie shooter have semi-automatic guns? This smells of manufactured chaos. It is pure evil and there is a lot more to it than just a nut case. Even if just a nut case, why would this crap head get it into his mind the shoot up people? Wrong targets. No one should have been targeted for this. Not the way to resolve things. These were innocents. I’m in tears right now just thinking about it. It makes me sick.
