If you find the word "retard" offensive, I'm sorry, I lack context to see why it would be, this is only my second language. I may have used it improperly, for which I apologise. I can refer to them as "morons" if that suits you better. Or "idiots". You choose. If you mean "racists", I'd still use either of the previous two words.

Just replace retard with asshole. The context with the word is that it means someone with a disability, and has nothing to do with a person being a racist asshole.

Oh great, the FM forum seems to be leaking, that's just what we need in a serious discussion about racism and right-wing terrorism.
It looks like the gun nuts aren't happy with the short consultation period for the first stage of the new gun laws, claiming that a moratorium on sales of semi-automatic weapons should be enough for the time being. And apparently while some people have been handing their guns in to be destroyed, others were rushing to buy soon-to-be-banned weapons while they still can. I feel like they're fighting against the tide on this one but it's still pretty depressing.
