HI all, I'm new to this area and wish for some help regarding the Morrowind construction tool. No doubt any who has the game has used the tool and most likely has gotten rather good at it. Here is my problem with the tool:
When ever I build an interior piece, I'm finding that adding any type of interior pieces such as a door or gold or even the bar portrayed in the tutorial seen on this site, the pieces always will never rest properly on the floor. they are either to high or when lowered go through the floor. Is there something I need to do to get them to sit properly when placed in the newly made room? Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.
Thanks for any help to whom may offer it.

So this is now a double thread, since this has been moved to the Morrowind forums...

My appologies for the double thread. Perhaps someone knows of a good website for instruction on use of the editor? I've solved my first problem but have a few more. First off dealing with the items to line up properly on walls including doors need to exit. Lastly for now how to make a proper vendor that sells and buys items not wears the equipment i put in his inventory.

Positioning objects can be tricky... if your new, so it helps to know most of the keyboard commands that will help you...
First, Im sure you know the arrow keys move the camera up, down, left, right... and the mouse scroller(if you have one) zooms in and out. Pressing F will make the selected object fall to the floor, you may want to do this from top view so you know exactly what the object is flying over. Holding X and dragging an object lets you move it along the X axis, Y lets you move on the Y axis(usually forward or back, but depends on your camera angle), and Z lets you move on the Z axis(up and down). Also moving around the camera to get different views helps, so hold down shift and move the mouse around to adjust the camera.
Those commands will definately help you in fine tuning the object placement... if when you add a new object to the area, and it shows up somewhere that you cant see or drag it, you could try cutting out the object, then pasting it back in, usually that puts it right in front of the camera.
As to npc's not equiping items when you sell them things like armor or clothing... so far, cant be done, when you sell items to a vendor, it goes directly into their inventory... but when making npc vendors, make a crate with the items you want him to sell, then tag the crate as owned by the npc, if the npc is set to barter the types of items you put in it's container, they should be for sale.
You can get alot more help with modding at the elderscrolls forums...

You will want to post any questions in the general tes construction kit help section, not morrowind general, ;).

Also, you can adjust how far things move when you drag them by tweaking the values in the 'configure' window. (I'm at work just now, so I can't be more specific) If you poke around, it should be pretty obvious. Oh, and for this level of fine-tuning, you will likely want to turn off 'snap-in' mode.
(Would you like someone to delete your duplicate post in the MW forums?)
