I have been experimenting with the part of the morrowind.ini file labelled as [Light attenuation]

I have had luck working with all the values and methods in this section, but what I would really like to do is tune the Ambient value that infuses the entire game, and especially in Interior rooms. I would like to see what the game looks like with nothing but calculated light from lanterns, torches, candles, etc. In regions where there is no direct lighting I would like them to be completely black. How should I go about this?
