first off, if the files aren't even in a file named "video" then something is wrong with your installation. uninstall it completetly and reinstall from scratch, allowing it to go to the default directory.
if you can't see anything and you DON'T have a voodoo, then it's prolly because your "fog emulation table" is turned OFF by mistake. go into your D3D properties for your card, and one of the first options should be for that. make sure it's checkmarked.
for someone who just wants to view Bink Video Files, they make a nice player. many many games use them for their ingame videos. (

other than that, i can't think what the problem could possibly be. sorry. :(

Just to clear up a couple of points:
Morrowind does not support Voodoo cards (or Kyro cards for that matter). I suspect this is because the game relies heavily on Hardware T & L, which neither the Voodoo or the Kyro have. (Although there is supposedly a hack to get the game running on Kyro cards)
And the video files are stored on the CD (which is why you need to keep the CD in the drive even after installing the no cd patch).
