Morrowind No C-D crack

I've heard that the Morrowind No-CD crack increases performance. Is this true and if so where can I get it without having to go through thousands of annoying hacker sites? :confused:

What about if you want the No-CD crack, and aren't called Voodoo_Priest? I too have searched in vain for said program, and alas it is just too elusive - I gave up my search after several dead end links to dodgy warez sites. Can we have something solid? A stable/reliable link perhaps?

Obviously, there is need for discretion - due to the whole issue of legality - but there's got to be an easier way, no? At least for those of us who do own legitamate copies of the game. :erg:

It's got kathode's approval, as it doesn't remove the need for a CD, only the SafeDisc stuff. A lot of those links are probably dead now, so you might need to try a few.

I thought there was even a link for it on the elderscrolls forums, although that may have been before the later patches...

Lol true I guess.
After playing EQ and DAOC for around 3 years I am enjoying getting away from my PC and hanging out on my lounge in front of the large screen tv though :)

I forget where I got mine, Kazaa, (www.megagames.com) (www.gamecopyworld.com) are good though. But I virus scan all of them that I'd get.

Grab your TES Construction Set CD, copy every file onto your hard drive into their respective folders. Now open morrowind.ini in Notepad and go to the line TryArchiveFirst=1 and change it to TryArchiveFirst=0. If you wanna be brave, change it to TryArchiveFirst=-1, but I doubt it'll work; it hasn't for me yet, but I hear others have had good results with it.
