Hiya,
I've only just started getting into this game, I had always wanted to try it because it's been mentioned many times as one of the best RPGs for the PC. With all the Oblivion fever I had to grab this since the new game won't run on my really old system :( I'm having a real blast with Morrowind though, I'm now at about level 16 or so and only on the 4th mission of the main quest.
It just came to me after a while that the overall look of a lot of the cities in the game resembles in some way that of the cities in the Star Wars series. And I'm talking about more of the low-tech areas (as opposed to the more technologically-advanced cities) of which there are loads that we see in the movies and games. Does anyone else see the similarity? Just something I thought when playing the game. I've not seen a lot of Oblivion, but I get the feeling that it has less of this overall style and is probably a lot closer to what the developers originally wanted Morrowind to look like.
It would be pretty awesome to have a Star Wars rpg with the kind of scope that Morrowind/Oblivion has, and I'm not a Star Wars nut or anything like that - though I did enjoy Jedi Knight I and II a lot. I have yet to try KOTOR I or II though, because I doubt my system could run them.

Well, house Redoran (Ald 'ruhn) does have Tatooine-like design. Morrowind is also a totally different place with a totally different culture to Cyrodiil (Oblivion's main design) I guess you havent really seen much in the way of the Televani. They live in giant mushrooms.
I also see the Indoril design bears some similarities to SW (the Cantons of Vivec)
What system do you have that cant run KOTOR?

It's a PIII ~860Mhz, 384MB ram, with an ancient GeForce 2 MX. It's the computer I have with me in college, so I've not "needed" it for much more than what my Comp Sci course requires. I have a much more recent setup at home so I may be able to play some more newer games this summer.

Hmm, talking of Kotor, I seem to have some problems re-installing it. Weird, because it worked before. Anyways, when I go into system analysis, it says I have old video card drivers and dont have a "Non-windows Generic openGL". This doesnt make sence because I downloaded and installed the latest vid card drivers three times, and so far I havent found anywhere that lets you download openGLs and tells you what to do with them.

Feel free to post on TTLG's technical forum (after a search for a similar problem, of course!)

thanks Ryushi.
