I'm having only two problems:
1. On startup, it keeps giving me messages about the plugins I installed - how they've changed since last save, or something. However, I think they're working anyway, so I'm not concerned about them.
2. What I am concerned about is that Morrowind keeps exiting to the desktop, with no error message or anything. It's always (as far as I can tell) either during or immediately after a fight. I've got the latest patch. I also have:
Geforce 4 Ti 4600
Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
512MB of RAM
and plenty of free hard disk space.
The only thing I can think of that might be causing the crashes is that I've got all the graphics options turned up to maximum - resolution, shadows, etc. Framerate is perfectly fine, though - at least for me, I'm not very demanding, especially in a game where frame-rate isn't important as long as it doesn't make your eyes fall out.

Hmm.. sounds much like my setup (I have a 1.2GHz, otherwise identical); one question... does it always crash after a fight, or do you have fights where it doesn't crash? If the latter, as w/ me, then I'd just say save early & often and expect a crash after somewhere between 30-90 minutes of play; it's that kind of game :p

(as Forsythe said, that's just one of those things this game loves to do...)

But it crashes far more frequently than 30-90 minutes of play.
I suppose I could try turning down the graphics options - it did seem to get worse when I ramped it up a little. But unfinished games si teh suck anyway.
*add* Now I'm having another problem - the controls are being incredibly unresponsive. It takes an age to turn around, and I know it isn't the mouse sensitivity, because it used to work fine, and I know it isn't my mouse, because it works fine in other games. Besides, it's the keys as well - the always run, weapon and magic keys take several presses before they start working.
Anyone had anything similar happen to them?

Not I, at least. Hmm... that almost sounds like something's running in the background, though; you've turned off virus scanning before you start?

It could be that you were hit by a magic spell that knocked down one or more of your ability stats. Open up your stats screen and see if any of your ability stats are red . If they are, you'll need to restore those abilities.
