So you can up the view distance eh? Can someone post some screenshots?

Zenshi, maybe you are confused about instructions after you press auto validation button? - setting Render Distance to minimum before pressing it again and start scanning.
in that case the program scans the Morrowind process memory to locate some group of values - exactly corresponding to minimal Render Distance setting and than tries to influence on these values then modifying it later.

Looks very nice. I've tried to use your prog as a Morrowind FPS Minimizer as I'd like to check out the doubled render distance, but I can't seem to get it to work. Will try some more.
Is there any other way to change the render distance manually, with console commands or through the ini-file?

No dice on my system. It freezes up during the auto process at 42%. My system:
AMD Tbird 1400
DFI MB
GF3Ti500
SB Live
512 ram
Nvidia 29.41 drivers
RETAIL copy of MW. Site says need cracked version of MW?
Oh, well. I'll try next version.

OK, I'm interested (and assured) enough to try it; might be a couple days, but I will post my results. I would love to get some extended view distance screenshots; I always thought games like this should have a "long view" command which kills FPS but lets you look out over the countryside.

If MW had a decent LoD bias engine, there wouldn't be a need for this crappy 'oh let's cut this shit down to two feet to improve FPS' garbage...
My point:

The Heart of the Serious Engine is advanced level of detail (LOD) algorithm. With up to 32 levels of detail per object, its power allows hundreds or even thousands of objects in a scene while still maintaining a playable frame rate.
If you want to see why the Serious Sam engine is my favorite...

decrease my FPS by increasing MW:s render distance. ;)
[BTW, Tuco, I'm new here, but I've noticed that you neither like the game nor the engine. But nevermind, there seems to be one of those on every gameforum...]
