wicketbird, how far on in the game are you? I could explain about Vivec stealing your wife, which is still true for female characters, but it would involve some major spoilers...

So, does that mean you want me to spill the beans? :-)
But first, let us know how far you have got with the main quest-you may already know much of the relevant info.....
Chaos Kin on 21/9/2002 at 06:57
Well if you mean i raided all 5 fortress and killed Dagoth Ur, free Vvardenfell of the Blight? well then Yes.
And did you know that you can capture the soul of one of the Dagoths with an Azura's Star?

Oh, so you've finished the main quest...ooh well done! :-) I would have thought you'd have come across this by now, but.....Almalexia was Lord Nerevar's wife when he (you) was alive (for the first time :-) ) According to various Temple staff and also books in the game, Almalexia was later the consort of Lord Vivec. So, it looks as though he waited until Nerevar was dead, then moved in.....seems a bit suspicious to me-particularly if you believe the version of Nerevar's death where he was murdered by the Tribunal. I mean, if Vivec and Almalexia were having an affair they'd have even more motive for wanting to off Nerevar. Of course, this is all just speculation.......

Vivec has those simetric skin color in his body that is related to this. At least is what i heard.
