I'm pretty sure you don't blow it where the valve stems are, though.

As long as I don't have to hum while I'm blowing it up. I only have the lung capacity to do one or the other.

Searching Google for "hum" and "blow" uncovers this:
"Remember to blow steadily into the mouthpiece for 3 to 4 seconds and then, without interrupting the air flow, hum loudly while saying the word “who” for the remainder of the test."
