I just got hit with another GPF, :sweat: so I figured I'd swing by here and ask something. It's common knowledge that you can save Jock by executing the odd mechanic, but is there a way to find out how that odd mechanic got there?
After you execute the mechanic, and talk to Everett, a replay of the end of the conversation will always happen. JC will always say he killed the mechanic, and Everett will always say he wishes he knew how he got there.
Basically, I'm just wondering if that conversation is a hint that you can find out more about the mechanic, or if it's just a bug. Any ideas?

Since we're talking about the mechanic, I just deliberately didn't trigger the bomb conversation with Jock on my latest playthrough. Only nothing happened, when does the bomb go off? I'm guessing it's right when you don't absolutely need Jock's helicopter anymore, otherwise there'd have to be a replacement and thus too much bother.

Right-o. The bomb doesn't go off until you arrive at Area 51.

Yeah, I got that on my first playthrough. The shame.
I SAW the dead mechanic, and talked to the fake one, but took no notice. Unobservant bastard that I am - caused Jock to die over and over again until I edited the flag :ebil:
