Black Americans like fried chicken, collards, grape soda, and cornbread.
OMG, I must be black! Does this mean I have to get rid of my Jackson Browne records now?

Black people don't like Jackson Browne? I mean, the name Jackson and the word brown are right in there and all. Ah well. Gang aft aglay then.

I must admit I've never drunk a robert burns or david hume before. I'll try them out the next time I have a chance. I can only drink certain things though, so I'm not too sure if they'll go down well.

Of course whites can rap and blacks can play banjo, and everybody is cool with that these days...
Blacks invented the banjo. It's a slave instrument which evolved from earlier African stringed instruments.

There's a huge difference between a black-owned restaurant selling stereotypical "black" food and the NBC cafeteria doing the same in honor of Black History Month.
No, really, there isn't.
Unless you mean to say that the color of my skin affects your judgment of my character.
Fucking racist.

Of course, and it can be quite good.
I seek it out. Usually very welcoming joints with big helpings of traditional comfort foods.

Ah, so this is another example like swing dancing where blacks invented it but then only geeky white people do it now (in the mainstream). At least that's what you'd think looking at what's out there (e.g., search "banjo" or "swing dancing" on YouTube; at least with swing dancing there are ancient b&w videos).
All the more reason for the cultural history of stuff to be more visible... I guess, but I don't want to lecture black kids they need to get in touch with their heritage and start playing banjo music or swing dancing! At least blacks have still kept ownership of jazz, a style of jazz, thank goodness.
I don't really have a point here, though... Just things to observe from a non-committal distance ... But I do love swing dancing and playing jazz, though, and try to be conscious of where it came from and tap into its roots.
