....but is it possble to kill everyone?
No :(
Ye cannae get:
Alex Jacobson
Jaime Reives
Paul Denton (but he can die)
That informant...ahh..
Jordan Shea
Stanton Dowd
Other Illuminati
But I think you can "terminate" the rest....

If you really want to kill you can do so by removing their invincibility. I did it just to kill that damn annoying Harley Filben. However some of them can reappear later in the game. So don't be scared if you see their "ghosts".

True, but I dislike fucking the storyline. It is also a bit, ah, out of character....
JC Denton, elite terrorist assasin walks into the UNATCO command center.
In a slow emotionless voice he intones "DIE TRAIT....wait a second, didn't I already kill you?"

Exactly, a bit pointless really..though that kid in Hong Kong should die over and over..:ebil: ;)

These are the times I wish I had Force Grip in DX. :sly:

Force grip would have been good. I'd have settled for giving him a boot to the head, though. J.C. can't even slap the annoying little brat without at least using a baton. There have been numerous occasions that I wished I could kick or punch or at least smack someone around a little. I think unarmed combat would have added a lot to this game, but it probably would have cost way too much development time. Maybe next time.
I can't be the only one who wanted J.C. to learn some martial arts. If we start making enough noise about wanting unarmed combat in DX2, there might still be a chance that they could include it. Of course, they may already be planning to include that for all I know.

I would give my baby toe for a game that lets you push bad guys into hazards and such. Martial arts I think are a bit out of the engines capabilities. (Unless you want one karate chopping arm to serve as your primary attack.)
I, as a true RPGer, played my interpretation of J.C. as best as I could, from the first mission, where he enthusiasticly beats NSF butt, to when he gets sloppy with his stealth work after gathering doubts (I have the scars to prove it), and to being more careful and aware of his actions and their consequences towards the end. Yes, I am pathetic. My conclusion: It was good to make J.C. a bit bland and boring so you could figure out how he'd act yourself. (As a girl, the lost bunny personality is most appealing, but I'm open.) The thing I'd like more of is a bit more about his past and detail of his and Paul's relationship, because it DOES suggest they have a deeper relationship than apparent. Of course, I would give my foot if Ion Storm could make DX2 this good.
*waits for admin to move this particular post to the DX2 discussion thread*

The thought of JC charging towards the bad guys making repeated chopping motions with one arm had me falling off the chair laughing...

I play JC as a Thief and a Murderer. I am a thief fan originally, so I tried to play the game stealth like bu just didn't find it as satisfying as cleaning out the level, be it NSF or MJ12. I had 0 qualms about butchering those NSF goons because all I knew at the time was that a terrorist organization, responsible for numerous acts of terror, not to mention stealing a shipment of plague vaccine had the gall to set up operations a stone's throw away from UNATCO HQ!
Later on, of course I discover the NSF isn't as evil as they are made out to be, but still didn't feel bad about killing dozens of them, because of the fact that they always shot first without asking questions and the sordid underworld attachments that they have.
Civilians. Most of them escape my fiery sword of infinate justice, but not drug dealers , thugs or other criminals. I purge their imperfections from reality, for the betterment of all. Judge, Jury and Executioner. JC Denton.
I steal everything from anyone I can. Ally, enemy or bystander. My reasoning is, I'm trying to save the world from disaster, and most of these dipshits won't help me out, equipment wise. So I take what I want, If anyone gives me any trouble, they die. The others see this and run away. Smart cookies.
Basically I play JC as an amoral crusader, who will let nothing and noone stand in his way. If you want to make an omlette, you must break some eggs.
