Hi all
I just joined the Morag Tong (I am a level 7 infiltrator - my own stealth class).
My question is....I thought the Morag Tong was an "official" and "legal" assassin guild. That is, I thought their assassinations were legally sanctioned, that was the impression I got from other people talking about them. But when I did the first job, I got a bounty on my head for attacking the target.
I never even had the opportunity to try to taunt him because he didnt want to talk to me.
Is this the way it goes? Even with my official writ, I am breaking the law by attacking my Morag Tong targets?
Thanks,
Pike

After you do the job, run up to a guard/Ordinator and you'll have a 3rd option (ie: pay, jail, or give Writ). That clears your name for the job in question. Of course, part of the Morag Tong code is to harm noone but the designated victim... so be careful whom you attack. (note: Take that with a grain of salt as I've yet to join 'em; they're last on my list as I don't know if they'll ask me to kill someone I'd have use for)

If you sneak up on him and kill him with a critical hit, no crime gets reported... works with all npc's ;)

Forsythe is right you get given a official writ which you present to an ordinator afterwards and your criminal record gets wiped clean. ( :ebil: )
Just make sure you drop all your stolen goods before hand because these still get taken of you whether you have a writ or not.
As you gain a reputation among the Morag Tong people begin to fear you more and don't report you as often.
