I'm connected to my school's WiFi, and we have a soft limit of 5 GB download per week, i.e. if the IT staff happens to check and finds that you've exceeded the wekly quota, you get blocked from Internet for a week. I'd like a program that can monitor how much I download per week, on this specific connection, and warn me when I'm approaching the limit?

5 GB per person per week? That's amazing, unless you're watching videos for hours a day, I wouldn't worry about it

Really? so 20gb or so a month etc. Arbitrary limits like that are just pointless and short sighted. My 'soft' limit with my ISP at home is 600gb per month(I only do about 100-200 or so though) and even my mobile provider dosen't bat an eye if I got over their 20gb on thier unlimited mobile plan.

That's India for you. 100 mbps fibre connections with 50GB/mo caps after which it dials shit down to 1 mbps -- where fibre is even available. Anyway, the uni WiFi thing used to be unlimited until net admins realised people were running torrents and seedboxes using their bandwidth.
Re: the OP's question, I haven't tried any, but take a look at (
https://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/) Networx maybe.

Well, I just got a new laptop and I was hoping to play some great new AAA games on it, but all the good ones are wayyy over my limit. And in this case, the limit is set by the school. It's non-negotiable.
NetWorx seems to be just fine! Thanks :)
