The episode was OK, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was rather familiar. It was probably the bit where Mickey 'Third Wheel' Smith came aboard and also when he chastised the Doctor for always putting Rose in danger. Or something.

"Tell me the whole plan!" was a great moment. Actually that whole scene with the six slightly creepy girls was wonderful.

"Let's go and poke it with a stick."
For a moment I tought that the Dream Lord would turn out to be The Master (or some part of his personality left stuck in TARDIS).

I thought it was a nice little episode.
The moment when they woke up on the bench, just before the starting title sequence, gave me quite a powerful momentary wtf dissociative effect.

I had to close my window because I could hear birds outside, and because high pitched sounds are hard to pinpoint, I kept thinking the characters were about to doze off again...

I really liked this one, it wasn't the best but it did have the right Moffat-esque vibe of intangible danger. It was however a bit cheapened by the fact it was all due to magic dust and not actual villains. Or was it? :sly:
Also I loved the Dream Lord to Rory: "You die, stupid. That's why it's called reality!" :laff:

To liven up this thread a bit.
The last episode "Pandorica Opens" was really good, can't wait for next week.
Now, after seeing almost all of "first" season, I do think Smith is far better than Tennant (shame that Eccleston only got one season, he was good too). The writing is also better (although there are still too many "You've gotta hold on to your humanity" moments).

So far, the thing I don't like about Smith's Doctor (which is more to do with the writing than his acting) is that he suddenly seems to have developed major blindspots. He'll be all brilliant one moment, then the next it's "Where did you learn to cook like that?" "Paris, in the 18th century. No, wait, that's not recent is it? 17th century? 21st!" The Doctor's personality changes, yes, but remembering what century you're in, especially once you've been there for a few days, is surely a basic skill. Tennant's Doctor wouldn't have had lines like that. The sudden...'amateurishness' is the word that comes to mind, in some respects of Smith's Doctor just seems out of place, and rather annoying.
But it's still Doctor Who, and it's still awesome :)
The latest episode was great, though they may have overdone it with the sheer number of various forces that have supposedly allied against him. It's everyone he's ever spoken a harsh word to, rather than just age-old foes.
Also, "you will be assimilated"? Really? Come on.
