Daleks, Cybermen AND the Weeping Angels in just one season? HOT damn!
If one alien-of-the-week ever gave me the creeps, it was the weeping angels in Blink.
Oh, and Doctor Who's Freckles > Lost's Freckles, c/d?

You also forgot River Song. We might even find out the Doctor's true name.

Prompted by this thread, I found the episode you guys are talking about, watched it, and I was honestly blown away. There's a wonderful, very European sense of imagination to this show. I love it. :)

I laughed at 'omg short skirts are sluttifying Doctor Who' accusations that the British press is now throwing about. Attention hacks: go look at Leela's costume and then try to complain that the new Who is slutting up the show.

And also if you noticed Amy spent the whole time pulling her skirt down. Intentional or not it gave the impression of her not comfortable with being a kissogram and not satisfied with how her life had turned out

Why no I can't say I was even looking in that direction ¬¬

Liking the new Doctor so far, has the glee and the enthusiasm. I'm wondering if he'll have less of Tennant's sadness and more a new sense of wonder but of course early days yet.
Don't know if I like Amy pond yet but will give her a chance.
Mostly like the new Tardis, especially the greater scale of the control room, just slightly concerned they've over-retroed the central console. I don't mind a few dials and analogue bits but I don't want a steampunk tardis.
So a few reservations but a great start nonetheless.

The new TARDIS is the only thing I really didn't like actually. Too over the top. I'm not against duct-taped-together/steampunkish look but the amount of earthly objects in there was just too ridiculous.
<3 Amy Pond. I liked the similarities of the script with "The Girl in the Fireplace". I had my doubts about the new Doc but for a first episode he did a pretty good job. "Who Da Man" :laff:

Thank god RTD is gone. I always thought he was shit and since Moffat's episodes have always been the best of New Who, I was excited to see him take the lead. I didn't realise the difference would be this stellar. It's kind of a shame though. I think Tennant's doctor got wasted a bit in the last two seasons due to RTD's incompetence.
I loved the nod to Coupling with the sex-oriented Jeff. :D

That episode was pretty good. Sure beats RTD by a mile with his farting aliens invading Cardiff, alien infants made of fat and that god awful bisexual Mary Sue - Harkness.
Good to see that those statue aliens from the excellent Blink are returning, ditto for Alex Kingston's character from also outstanding Library of the Dead.
One of the upcoming episodes is written by Richard Curtis though, oh dear. :eww: Hopefully it has nothing to do with foppish nice guy losers.
Matt Smith was impressive, but Tennant will definitely be missed though. That Scottish ginger playing Amy Pond was awfully tasty, I must say. Since RTD is gone we likely won't get another assistant falling for the Doctor, good I say.

He used a typewriter for input on the console. How is that in any way Steampunk?
