Hi:
I've tried to get 3 different mods installed but no show yet.
They're in my Data folder, seemed to unzip okay under native windows ME. I have Tribunal installed okay also.
The saves show up okay.
Any idea why the imported mods aren't active?
Thanks, Bill

Dumb question... you actually unzipped them in there, right? You don't just have the zip files sitting in there?

Hello Forsythe:
While I don't have WinZip installed I did use the native ME OS extractor to unzip the folders. (Extract all command...)
Now then, Should those files then get taken out of the folder and just placed freely in the Data Files Main folder or can they stay in the extracted folder?
Some folks have talked about the "List" of your mods. Where does this list exist at?
Is all that exists in the main Data column from the CD launch screen is the 2 MW game listings and the saves? I have Tribunal installed btw.
I assumed the mods would be listed here but it seems not - at the DATA screen.
Does the TES Kit have anything to do with storing/using the mods?
I've got the TESCD? (sp) interface installed and will mess with that over the next few days.
How are your mods shown in your folders? Can you send a screenshot?
Thanks for now...
Bill

Make sure the files are extracted (You may need to keep the directories for some components intact). Make sure the .esm file is in the same directory as the Morrowind and Tribunal.esm files. (do this in Explorer). Make sure you haven't extracted them to something like <morrowind dir>\Data Files\Program Files\Bethesda\Morrowind\Data Files\
You should then see them listed underneath the Morrowind and Tribunal entries when you click the Data Files button on the launch screen.

Hello all:
Last night I examined the Data folder under Explorer and noticed the 2 red knife icons for MW and Tribunal. I looked in the G-33 rifle folder and also noticed a red knife icon for that plug in. I thought to take it and just place it in the open files similar to the other 2 and well that did the trick.
When I launched MW the game asked me about that plug in, etc. and now it's listed.
However in the game world I got a script error and it crashed my game when I tried to get the gun in my hand per inv. screens.
But now I know the final little trick, EUREKA! Not sure how many others have this problem but the full procedure was never really listed. Perhaps I need winzip.
Anyway problem largely solved.
Thanks,
Bill

its possible that other files weren't extracted properly, like your main "esp" file. the native extracter doesn't allow you to "keep file structure intact", so thereby it would put all the files in one folder.
if you named what the other files were, then we could tell you if you needed to move some to the, say, mesh folder (which with a gun, i think would be absolutely necessary).
if the game can't find the mesh for the gun, then when you try to equip it, it will instead, give you an error and crash.
