I've downloaded legitimate software from safe sites which came bundled with browser/search hijack viruses (go figure). So it's possible

Hi gentlemen and ladies,
I ran the 1.1.8 file on VirusTotal..........No issues at all
I ran it thru Kaspersky and no issues at all.
The issue I last had with it was when I double clicked the .exe and then Kaspersky said "Oh no.....It's a Trojan!" Deleted......
I have ordered Thief 3 Deadly Shadows on disc and it should be coming next week.
I will install from disc(s) and then plug in the 1.1.8 Sneaky mod and will report back.
Incidentally I noticed the "Update" file and its' respective mirror......is that an update on 1.1.8?
Thanks,
Stefos

Sorry to hear of the hassle, Stefos. Hopefully Kaspersky will let you install it from disc. You can always disable it while installing if it does, I guess.
@downwinder, I don't think anyone here was "crapping" on you, although obviously there was some misunderstanding of your comments or you wouldn't have said what you did. For any part I played in that, I apologize, but your comments lead me to believe that you thought ModDB was a file sharing site with potential malware in the downloads. And incidentally, I'm right up there with you, I started with a TRS/80 Model III followed by an Apple ][+ in the early 80's.

It didn't for a moment occur to you that the warning was a false positive, did it.
It DID occur to me that it might be a false positive.....however, my cd drive autoplay is now disabled and fortunately Kaspersky caught it.
Now my autoplay is disabled AGAIN as I tried to download the Sneaky mod from moddb again from a different mirror and all was fine until
I double clicked the executable.
BTW, I checked my Win 10 settings and autoplay is enabled.
Thanks a lot for your help........Are you helping me or being a smart Alec by the way?
Stefos
P.s. If you want to help, How about helping me get my Autoplay up and running since it's disabled now thanks to the Trojan horse moddb gave me?

No, it's a minimal version of 1.1.8 - not including the mods, only the patched exe files and the setup tool. If e.g. a bugfix release comes out with no changes to the mods, then you can install the Update Edition of that on top of the 1.1.8 Full Edition.
So for a fresh install, go with the Full Edition.

Hi everyone,
So, I managed to get my autoplay back and running normally thanks to myself incessantly searching online.
The cloud used for the Sneaky Mod was fine..........The virus checker program worked like a charm.
Moddb IS very heavily corrupted apparently.
I will use it ONLY in tandem with the virus checker program linked to me here.
I will also install TDS once that arrives and see if the Sneaky Mod resolves the lockpicking bug and resolution constrictions and other issues.
Thank you everyone (who helped) for your assistance,
Stefos
P.S. Don't be a taffer........Help people, don't second guess their intelligence.

It's almost certainly a false positive. Some AV seem to hate Inno Setup installers. But I'll check it out just in case.
Click the mirror link on (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138607) this page to get the file from my dropbox instead. But you'll probably get the same warning.
Hi everyone,
Well........here it goes again:
I downloaded the 1.1.8 Sneaky Mod from Snobel's site and even after I got 0 out of 65 on the virus detection program, Kaspersky is still reading as finding a PDM: Trojan.Win32.Generic
Can someone please check this file from the dropbox?
I cannot afford a new machine.
I would appreciate a clean version of the Sneaky Mod 1.1.8
Thank you,
Stefos

Hey buddy,
Do you have a clean version of Sneaky Mod 1.1.8 or 1.1.7?
Either will do.
Kaspersky said it found a Trojan virus when I double clicked the .exe and I need the mod to play TDS.
Thanks,
Stefos
