Hi everyone,
I'm new here but:
When I went to moddb, I found the most recent version of the Sneaky mod for Thief Deadly Shadows and when I double clicked the .exe,
Kaspersky said it was a Trojan horse virus!
Where can I get a virus free version of the mod please?
Thanks,
Stefos

It didn't for a moment occur to you that the warning was a false positive, did it.

i would be more of the thinking why would some one put thief files on a site that has that junk like that in the first place=fake downloads
i hope you get your comp fixed stefos

It's almost certainly a false positive. Some AV seem to hate Inno Setup installers. But I'll check it out just in case.

Click the mirror link on (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138607) this page to get the file from my dropbox instead. But you'll probably get the same warning.

why would people host files for thief on site's that are full of malware/viruses
if you want to keep new people coming to game those site should never be used

As long as the uploaded files are clean, how can it reflect badly on Thief? Are there any examples of Mod DB being compromised? Not counting single accounts using lousy passwords, of course.
Anyway, I downloaded the files from there and they are identical to my local files. Also ran them through (
virustotal.com) virustotal, which gave the full edition a 0/61 score (clean, including Kaspersky). The update edition, which contains the same executables, got 3/67 - those 3 are definitely false positives, and they don't include Kaspersky.
@stefos: Better run your downloaded file through virustotal yourself. If it comes out with the score above, then your local AV probably needs an update? If it gets a significantly worse score than the above, then please post again.

I don't think downwinder even knows what ModDb is.

@downwinder, ModDB is not a site full of viruses. Stefos' antivirus (Kaspersky) is (almost certainly) flagging the file as infected incorrectly (aka false positive).

its 2018 and why don't we have a discord thief server with voice and cams,i now want to see all the people who crap on me so i can have a good laugh
cause we all know the people who crap over others and hide online are not the type of people you probably want to deal with so i volunteer to be the first to get on voice/cam this way no one can say i am like that
