Do you think that reducing the overall size of the models would do the trick? I mean it would suck to not use them cuz they do look awesome.

It's an impressive effort this one, but most of the models seem to have squat little legs (and uniforms are a bit earth-bound-present-day instead of long-range-space-travel for my liking)
The models (or some of them) come from other computer games. The uniformed guy in the training section for instance is from RTCW.

I'm not good enough at this sort of stuff but IIRC you only need to shrink the bot's physics box, or hit box or whatever it's called. Of course you will have to look out for the bot clipping through walls/doors then a bit.
It's well known that Arcaniac took models from other games (at least: RtCW, HL Opposing Forces). He mentioned RtCW under "inspirations". He also used a whole bunch of mods created by other authors, which I partly removed in the mean time (Eld's psi amp, ADaoB). It's difficult to determine which parts he actually made himself and therefor judge his work correctly.

Does anyone know of a place where I can download replacement player models? I think SS2 uses .cis .bin formats and wondered if it is difficult to convert a .mdl model to work with SS2 ... or is there a website that offers free models (human) to download that would work with SS2?
