You know, I like how I addressed the lighting in a much, MUCH earlier post, and it's just now getting attention.
Specifically, though, I had said that it looks like the levels were not raycast objcast lit after being modified. There are places with some very obvious seams in the lighting scattered throughout every deck I've been on so far.

Bug:
Cyborg ninjas have patches(would seem to be where the texture is supposed to be all black) of transparency.
Personal oppinion so far: Other than getting fustrated at thebegaining when I didn't look in the new place for the card(when you're in the very begaining of the game) and got stuck due to the fact the door with the pushbutton wouldn't open after stepping through I really really like it. Now then...what could be done to help you along in making all those pickupable heads/limbs useful?

The code for the locked office near the start of Med-Sci is 55555.
Sorry for resurrecting a year old thread, but I couldn't find this information anywhere else and wanted to add it in case anyone else looking for the code finds this thread like I did. :)
Really lovin this mod so far (just finished Engineering deck). Two gripes with it: You can't see weapon maintenance health in mouseover on inventory items, this is pretty annoying. Also, the level name is blank when saving games.
Also not a huge fan of what seems to be jacked up lighting levels.. makes the 16-bit dithering stand out more than it used to.

Wow!
Wow!!!
Thanks for reviving that zombie thread. Made me start a SS2 replay yesterday and - wow again - this is some great improvement! Real pity that this mod it isnt going to be finished.
The best thing are the models who look really hi-poly and realistic.

Im with Skandalos here, I never even knew this mod existed!
Ive managed to get SS2 running very happily on Vista apart from using rebirth - all the polys were messed up but NOT SO with this mod. Just what I needed after finishing Bioshock. Shame the guy never finished it ... its really good what he's done to the models

I have no special preference for rebirth, but it doesn't have "messed up polies", you simply made a mistake during installation in all likeliness.
This mod on the other hand indeed has messed up polies, namely on the corpse models. It's nothing game breaking or anything, but it's well known.
I don't want to spoil your fun or anything, if you like this mod better - cool for you! Even if it's for the wrong reasons.

It works on Vista. Rebirth doesnt - simple as really. I prefer Rebirth but id rather use my Vista box than the XP box. Since the polys were all over place on Vista I ended up playing Polaris on my XP box, which doesnt have a problem with Rebirth.

Sorta random but does anybody know if its normal for Redux droids to get stuck in places where normally they are not? I got the distinct impression that they were a bit too big. Perhaps it was just the fact that several of them couldn't seem to get out of the hallway they started in or that when I attacked them in a tight space their image disappeared entirely while their physical presence remained. Rebirth works fine for me but I noticed they the corpses have a tendency to float in mid air slightly.

It's an impressive effort this one, but most of the models seem to have squat little legs (and uniforms are a bit earth-bound-present-day instead of long-range-space-travel for my liking)
