I think she'd have a faster connection already if she could. ;)
But this looks very interesting, shouldn't take more than half a minute to download a 45 Mb file. Now it is just to try it out. :D

I may have a solution to this....I think they call it DSL or something like that?
I live out of town -- we don't have cable out here, let alone DSL. DSL is only available within a 1 kilometer radius of the telephone company building, and in the rich bastard part of town. :p

I'll install it next time i'll play ss2. Looks very interesting! Thanx for sharing.
PS: Is that Barney from Black Mesa on pic 009?? :weird:
Nope, not Barney... Barney has about 700 polys... the Von Braun security officers have closer to 2000 IIRC. I did use the same color scheme though... it just looked right that way for some reason.

I just got a chance to log on and contribute my two cents. I like the new mod very much; relocation of stuff, updated (as in better looking) look of weapons, enemies. So far, I'm on my way to deck three to remove the clogged elevator shaft. I just a couple of things have me scratching my head:
1. What's the code for the MedSci closet that had no lock when unmodded?
2. Is this compatable with SHTUP?
Other than that, 4.5 out of five.
Arcaniac on 24/7/2006 at 14:38
Yes, it is compatable with SHTUP... in fact, I developed it with SHTUP in mind.
I also recommend you pick up Ajare/Kolya's shodan head and ICENINE's goo.
The closet is locked for a reason... when/if I finish the mod I had planned for that closet to stay locked until you find the code on another deck to unlock it and get a plot critical item. Right now, I think that the code is unchanged from what it was originally - all I did was remove the hackable part... that is, if you are refering to the closet I'm thinking of...
If you are referring to the closet of the security station - which was turned into an office for a new character that hasn't been added yet - then the code is all 0s I think (might be something else... but its all the same number IIRC - haven't looked at it in dromed in quite a while)
Anyway, I actually am working on an update that is almost finished (wasn't expecting to be able to work on it, but I found some time :) )... it properly replaces the shodan avatars (somehow the GerMANY shodan avatar accidentally got included in the original release), goes back and redoes the weapons again (I wasn't happy with them)... this time with a nifty feature where you can follow included instructions to customize your arms (male, female, black, white, different clothes, etc... there is of course a default so that those who want to just unzip and run can do so). Also redid the multiplayer models. Right now I'm working on replacing a few world objects... I was going to do the spiders, but they frustratingly crash Milkshape 3d everytime I load the spidey7.3ds file. As previously stated, this update will be released as a patch so that dial-uppers don't have to re-download the whole thing.
Oh, one thing that I thought I'd point out before anyone gets to deck five... the code on the art terminals is changed, but the code needed to turn on the transmitter is the same as the original (never did the map changes... OOPS).

I can take a good guess but just in case...how much (ie. what components) of your mod is plug 'n' play. What stuff can i just pick and choose and drop it in the right folder and it will work. I'm guessing new models with their skins and textures for existing models and that's it?

As is stated in the readme, the cosmetic changes can be applied independently of the map and game mechanic changes. Just don't extract the .mis or .gam files.

Maybe it is just a new type of hypo he added, or a bug.
Akunin on 26/7/2006 at 16:56
Hehe... that's a new hypo i believe. I've poked Arcanic about it once or twice before i belive, and he said something about i think psi, i don't remember to clearly. we're trying to add new things into this also (i.e. Calhoun), and i belive this was the first thing he dropped in as a test run. But, i wouldn't quote myself on that. :)
