I was recently reinvigored to play Oblivion and started downloading mods for it. I've never really done this before yeasterday except for the keyring mod. I haven't had much problems getting most mods to run perfectly except for mods that add weapons and armor to certain shops.
I've downloaded OBMM.
To start, one mod that's given me difficulties is the JB Catsuit 1.5. I think it requires other mods to run, I don't know. The game will not register the items in game and the merchant doesn't sell them. I know they're in the texture file because of a nif viewer program. I even downloaded the OBMM version.
Another mod that won't work is a Keyblade mod that refuses to put the weapon in the merchants inventory.
Similarly, Babe Hair, a mod for new hair models doesn't activate.
The Natural Faces mods disable NPCs from talking.
However, plenty of mods work such as Exnems body mod, aswell as eshme's body mod. So does the store for eshmes. Also the color map, btmod, lighter and faster arrows, locational damage, gorier blood, and natural faces (ignoring the lack of voice) all seem to run well.
I have them all saved into an oblivion mod folder on my desktop. I don't know if this would make a difference. I have no idea what's wrong with these mods other then the possibility of me needing to get supplemental mods.

I don't know if it's the same problem, but a couple of mods that I created for my own use (giving a couple of merchants some additional items and spells to sell) stopped working when I installed the latest patch. All I had to do to fix my modlets was download the latest Oblivion TESCS and use it to open & re-save the mods. Maybe the same thing will work for you, at least for the merchants not having the new stuff.
