Missing the final cutscene in System Shock 2 (perhaps one of you could help me out) - by DentonSHODAN

I have finally done it. After a year or so, I have finally gotten System Shock 2 to run perfectly on my machine (started on Vista, and now I have Windows 7 64-bit). Well, everything except for one bit. I checked my cutscenes folder in my System Shock 2 directory, and the final cutscene doesn't seem to be anywhere there. This makes sense because whenever I defeat SHODAN at the end, the game looks like it wants to play something, but can't, so it kicks me back to the main menu. All other cutscenes work. So is there a workaround for this? Is my solution as simple as pasting a copy of the final cutscene in that folder, or is there more to it (like editing LGVID.AX?). Anyone have a copy of the cutscene on hand?
By the way, I know I can just watch it on YouTube (which I have done when I beat the game before), but I don't know, I'd just like it if I finally had the game working properly, you know?
Any ideas?

Unless someone knows differently, you should be able to simply copy it from your CD (it's "SHOCK\cutscenes\Cs3.avi") into the cutscenes directory on your hard drive.

Now let's assume for the moment I didn't have that CD. :p

Actually, upon further inspection, Cs3 IS in my "cutscenes" folder. lol I guess I overlooked it last night (or this morning at 5:00 a.m., rather). However, it still doesn't come up when I beat the game. Anyone have any idea why? The final thing I did before testing this out was registering my LGVID.AX; and like I said, this made all my other videos work except for the final cutscene.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

I was just thinking, could the issue be that I'm loading up an old save just before the final battle? Whenever I start a brand new game now, all the cutscenes play correctly. Is it safe to assume that the final cutscene will only play after I've started a new game and played it all the way through with my newly registered LGVID.AX file? Would this even make a difference? I'm just trying to consider all the possibilities.

Are you able to play the video directly from outside the game using Media Player or similar? That might help at least eliminate the possibility of it being a corrupt file.
I'm not up on modding ss2, but could it be a mod you have installed is affecting which file it's looking for at the end of the game?

Yeah, I am able to play the file directly from the cutscenes folder.

If you got the final cutscene from another source than the rest of them it might use another codec. You could check this with gspot.
