In Ald'Ruhn I did the quest for thieves guild that has you go in the mages guild to steal while all the mages are away. After the mages returned, one didn't. The one that let's you travel between guilds is gone. Has this happened to anyone? How can I get her back. What's her name, by the way?

Same exact thing happened to me.
Elvira?
Elvinia?
Eliza? Something like that.
There's a way to use the Editor to Revive her. Someone after me will come along and tell you. I tried it several times; could never get it to work. So I just had to adjust my travel plans a bit. But, since Ald'Ruhn also has a Silt Strider, it wasn't THAT big of a hassle. More of an annoyance.
So, I can't actually provide you any "help", per se... just wanted to say "me too. No big deal, though."

*grin* It's simple enough... just use the console and type in 'RA' (without the quotes). All it does is reset NPCs to their starting positions. (and is verrry useful when NPCs get stuck in doorways) The reason she (and a few others) disappear, btw, is that they supposedly fall thru the floor into oblivion.

Thanx so much for that tip. VERY HELPFUL!!!

But Forsythe, wouldn't that also resurrect all dead NPCs and move all "will you take me to this or that location" NPCs back to their "I'm lost" starting points? And does it reset all their Attitudes toward you and their dialogue threads? I've never used it because I'm scared of exactly the things described above. Or does it just physically move them?

I must admit I never killed any NPCs and tried that in the same room they used to be in, but as far as living ones to the best of my knowledge all it does is reset their physical positions; their opinions of you are unscathed, and their relevant dialogue topics (and responses) are dictated almost entirely by Journal entries (which are untouched by the RA command; the remaining relevant dialogues are dictated by your/their race, gender, faction, faction rank, opinion of you, etc. and are thus untouched).
As to its range, it only affects those NPCs (and maybe critters; haven't tested it) in the same cell (ie: map zone) as you are... so if you use it in the Vivec Mage Guild, it won't touch the FQ plaza, etc.
Disclaimer: I didn't write the RA command, so the above is just based on my observations; use it only when you're really screwed, or where it won't make a difference ;)
