I have two minor but irritating glitches.
Although I can use Gold and Adamantium armour, and they appear OK on my inventory figure and in the game world, the icons in the inventory are replaced by generic crossed-out smileys.
Also, I'm running the BeastsOfBurden PackGuar mod, and while the Fence character appears and barters, buying a packguar off him just takes my money - there's no guar and no handler. I know this is because the objects are missing, as I get a warning when I start the game - but in the editor they're definitely there, correctly named.
Any pointers gratefully received.

Thanks for the pointer but I've already been around the block with placing files - some mods don't place them correctly so I've got quite expert at chasing them down and relocating them. In the cases I mentioned, though, I can't find the relevant icons even searching through the whole Morrowind tree.
I've unpacked the archives in question to temp locations as well, just to check - still can't see anything appropriate.

In the editor does the armor have a file path listed in the icon box?

Yes, the icons should be in the 'a' subdirectory - but they're not there. The adamantium plugin zipfile doesn't contain /any/ .tga files so I assume that these armour inventory icons should be installed by the main game. As I said before, they aren't in fact anywhere in the whole Morrowind folder tree.

Hmm.. finally got a chance to d/l it and check it out in the editor (didn't play it though), and yup, you're 100% correct. (I'd been hoping you got a bad d/l that they then fixed)
Offhand, I'd suggest posting about it on the morrowind.com forums and asking what the word is with it; maybe someone has a fix. (It could happen)

Thanks
Did you check the Adamantium or the Packguar plug-in?

Adamantium ;)
