There's a few spoilers, but as this is the "Hints & Spoilers" forum, I'm not gonna cover anything (with one exception). Does anyone actually visit this place anymore?
I've played through the game twice now. Once as an all-around character (small focus on stealth) and once as a fighter. I'm planning on playing it at least one more time (Thief-style this time ^^), and possibly once as a mage, although I feel that may be redundant. There's just a few lingering questions I haven't been able to answer even after a replay.
1. I have in my inventory a silver ring that seems larger than the common silver ring. I assume it's identified since there's no tag telling me otherwise. It came from the Temple of Akbaa, in the secret room with the lich just before the Meteor Chamber. Does anyone know what it is? Is it special in some way?
2. After killing the goblin earth clan, the water clan gives you a luck amulet. Does this actually have any effect? Can you give it to someone? I find it's better to sell this than to go for the 1 gold from the earth clan.
3. Does Ethereal Link have much practical use? I tried it once on a testing run and all it did was give a colored glow around your weapon power crystal thing denoting the general health of your enemy. It says it's also supposed to alert you to nearby enemies? How exactly does it do that?
4. Does poison damage stack? As in, if I hit an enemy with a poisoned weapon and they turn green, does hitting them again double their poison damage? Or is that a waste of a poison charge?
5. How do enchantments actually work? I've managed to enchant items, but if there's actually an effect, it's "behind-the-scenes." The description of the item doesn't change, and neither do my stats when I equip the weapon. And how come some items can be enchanted but others can't? What items work on what objects?
6. I found Lord Inut both times through, and only the second time did I realize he was the guy who wrote the book. Is he a side-quest? What am I supposed to do with him? Double-clicking just makes him cluck at me and showing him his book does nothing.
7. Are there any actual live dwarves in the game?
8. And finally, rune combinations. I've managed to find a few spells, mostly taking negating symbols for ones in the spellbook. And I've also heard of the secret spell. I've found the fridd rune also, and have found only one use of it. What other rune combinations are there?[spoiler]Life Drain-vitae movis
