A minor, but an odd and a little annoying thing: when playing certain animations the game stutters, skipping plenty of frames. At first it shows in the JoWood animation at startup, and near the beginning of the game I have noticed this also happens when playing the animation of ripping spiderwebs. I'm using GeForce 7600GS graphics card.

I tend to face this problem occassionally as well, particularly on some animations such as limb discombombulation. My guess is that it has more to do with the coding of the animations rather than your system, as this was an oft reported issue.

I think you are talking about two different problems. If the videos are stuttering, you need a new version of the Indeo video codec.

With recent updates to Windows XP, Microsoft suspended distribution of the Indeo codecs as a base part of its operating system. This only affects users with new PCs that are shipping with Windows XP Service Pack 1, or clean installs of Windows XP SP1 on an older system. Unfortunately, a number of game and multimedia titles require Indeo to be installed on the OS in order to function. Please review our Indeo Support page for more detailed information about the Indeo codec, Windows Service Packs, and third party titles.
It costs money ($15) but it can also be acquired for free from... "certain sources" :ebil:
(I hope I'm not breaking the rules of the forum here)
About the occasional stuttering in-game, I think there is nothing you can do about it. It just a weakness of the 3d engine.
