Bad art isn't the opposite of photorealism. I really thought we'd gotten over this.
Edit: Now you're not quoting me anymore I look like a case of tourette. Oh well.

Sorry; it was up for (literally) five seconds before I realized it wasn't actually a response to anything you said :o
I think I was going for something along the lines of "technically AND artistically unimpressive" but now that's obvious, isn't it.

You guys are all pretty wrong, this is quite clearly some good pop art.

I meant MOBA. Oh how this forum structure exacerbates my poor communication skills. I like the Bernardi art. His magazine WIP painting is impossible to recognize as such.
Unless YOU meant MOBA.

Scots, I think you'll find that a lot of artists don't appreciate Photorealistic paintings. Sure they're amazing in quality and the skill required is phenominal, but why not just take a picture? Same freakin' thing!

It IS boring. I wouldn't say it has no artistic merit, but it's boring. I mean if van gogh had been a photorealist then cafe terrace wouldn't be up in our bathroom, you know?
The street paintings are rad though.

Might want to whack a NSFW tag on that link champ.

What's the difference between staring slack-jawed at a process and staring slack-jawed at a product?
Either way, my mouth is still sitting there waiting to be picked up off the floor.

Still life and art class lessons taken to the nth degree.
