I hate the spiders 2, a funny thing to do is to hack a turret (laser) and get a spider 2 attack it.
What the hell is a "spider 2"? Some kind of advanced second-generation spider that only your version has?

Kolya, I built it around the original model with the intent to one day export it to ss2, but I don't think I'll ever get to that.
Bjossi, I can't remember exactly, i think it was around 1200-1300 something in tricount.
Why wouldn't you ever get to exporting it? Busy life eh?

Because he never got around to texturing it IIRC.
Believe me, an untextured midwife would not be scary.
Bjossi on 15/6/2007 at 13:33
True. But to get any texturing done he could just apply a cyberspace texture to her. :p

Refitting the original skin would probably be a better interim solution until a new texture can be made.
ZB, Gforce hates the spiders too (homonymous with "2"), he's referring to Oceanstorm's post. ... That is, unless you decided to mock precisely his use of chat language, in which case, nvm.

The model probably isn't UV mapped, either. From a screenshot Eld showed me a long time ago, the head and shoulders had been UV mapped, and I don't know if he did any more.

It sounded more like mobile phone text message language to me. I don't usually see people chat like that. But then, maybe I only chat with literate people? ;)

There isn't much sense in using shortcuts like those on an internet forum.

Yeah, I did try at a texture some long time ago, but never got around finishing it, it wasn't too good though..
A texture would probably be 85% of what does the character, so using the old texture wouldn't do much good..
I'm always thinking of doing something for ss2, but I'm also busy with work taking up just about all of my time.
If I went back to doing this model, I would probably redo the mesh aswell, there's many ways to do it better today..
It's funny how you never reach that "good enough" level :) I'm far from there, still..

If you set your standards too high, the same is gonna happen to you as happened to the Quake 2 Evolved project.

Someone said it looked like a deathstar and then everyone laughed and had a good time?
