Did anyone ever find these really unnerving? Just the noise they made, especially the electronic groan/scream when they're killed. And their name as well, just made it so unsettling. :)

I thought they were scary until I met my first big arachnid. I'm not phobic of spiders but those bastards give me goosebumps whenever I hear that sound they make when you are their next target. :sweat:

Ah yes, I'm scared of spiders but looking at them doesn't scare me, its how they move (that wierd sort of bobbing) and that horrible noise you mentioned. Also when they disappear onto the ceiling in a split second. :)

Creepiest thing I found in the game pertaining to Midwives was the ghost scene where they were holding her down before turning her into one...

[SPOILER]Throughout the game it becomes clear that Dr. Miller - influenced by the Many - made plans for cyber modifications to create a cyborg that could tend to the Many's eggs. The problem was that the specimen's were dying while being highly toxic to humans, so no one could go near them. Miller decides to use nurse Erin Bloome as a prototype because she has children back on earth. Later he asks Angela Loesser to send him her staff (nurses) and changes them too. Loesser gets suspicious when she sees Erin Bloome changed in the most horrible way. [/SPOILER]

Yeah, their screams are really disturbing. What really makes me jump though, is when you're in a confined space (like the tunnels under the garden area) and they suddenly come right up behind you with their freaky faces. :eek:
