Have you ever wanted to walk around Middle Earth through your own eyes. To travel through the Misty Mountains or the Mines of Moria??? Well heres your chance to help in making that vision come to life.
I am a member of a team known as "The Fellowship Of The Mod" at (
http://mwchronicles.com/). We are currently developing a very large team so to speak of anyone interested in helping this project. The project is a modification to the new and amazing game The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Morrowind, it is a newly released game by Bethsda Sotfworks that is set in a fantasy world that in a lot of ways resembles Middle Earth. Included with the game is a Construction Set which allows the owner the ability to rework almost every aspect of the game.
Our goal is to create a Virtual Middle Earth with all the locations, people, splendor, and overall feeling that J.R.R. Tolkien did with his words. Below are some pics made by a German Mod Team (currently we are trying who have them join/cooperate with us) that has done some amazing work. Keep in mind these are unfinished works and even though they may look amazing already... these are far from being complete!

And for your viewing pleasure here are some screens from the official game... Feast your eyes on gaming at it's best.

Fellow Tolkien fans if you are reading this, post your views right away. Even if it is one sentance, not only will it bump the thread to the front page so more can read and stay posted but also it will help in assisting the team in creating this project.
Also if you are interested in giving direct input to the original leader (now observer) of The Lord of The Rings Expansion or joining the team please e-mail Gandalf80@aol.com.

Boy, I sure do love form letters... getting them here in our "home" is even better, wouldn't you agree? :p

It's a lot easier to criticize than it is to compliment, isn't it now?
Nice screenshots, sirryktor :). Middle Earth certainly is a very ambitious project... but judging by those screens, it's in the right hands. Congrats.

I find form letters a bit offensive, as they're inherently inconsiderate of who will read them, and I find this type of spamming to be even worse. Then again, I'm from back when cross-posting to unrelated Usenet forums was considered to be exceedingly impolite and could easily garner you a flood of hostile emails; in these days, where such is common, careful attention to manners is sadly in short supply.
On the other hand, if they pull it off I'll definitely tout them highly... in an appropriate manner ;)

even if it isn't a form letter, he's still an ass.

How do you figure, Bionicman? *puzzled*

Offensive? Formal letters are actually quite amusing. Perhaps a more laid back message would have been more appropriate in this context, but even so, does it really make that big a difference? As far as I can see, the only offensive things here are the replies sirryktor recieved. And, tell me, since when is announcing a mod considered to be "spamming"?
