Found the CD in my mailbox today. It took me about 4 hours to install:
-copy vmware machine,
-update Windows,
-look for serial number,
-find out you have to register with Passport (now Windows Live),
-create new mail account
-read long privacy statements and EULAs
-install (took forever; I know it's a beta)
-update office (no updates, but it took at least 15 min to tell me that)
-update Windows
-finally activate Word.
First impression: the task-driven user interface is pretty good. Reminds me a lot of Picasa and of course Apple's iLife.

Can we get some screenshots of the interface in action? I'm curious how it works. My intuition says it'd work poorly since it stumps muscle memory [just like hiding unused options does], but I've not seen it used yet.
