Wow, a shock, especially for all of us who grew up in the golden age of music videos. He was easy to make fun of at times, but it was impossible not to like his music at least a little, no matter what your taste.
Some weird side of me hoped he would mellow and "normal out" a bit in his old age, perhaps to regain his old form. In any case, RIP.

I cannot distinguish between some of my favourite Michael Jackson songs or begin to put into words how HUGE this guy was when I was a youngster, he was a cultural icon bigger than anything at that time and every fucking song that he churned out in the 80s and 90s was awesome (at that time, some have aged). Hell, I even loved the stuff he put as late as (

Jesus, I even won a MJ dancing competition when I was 9 or 10. lol.
Probably one of my biggest regrets is never seeking the opportunity to see him live.
(

We both think he's staging it so he can run away again (this time to thailand)

It's sad to see the passing of a star, but it's not like he did a whole lot the past couple years. I heard his 2010 concerts were all sold out though.

For the love of god guys, 2 lame RIP threads on the same front page? This is Michael Jackson, a once in a lifetime opportunity for a thread title. I dont have any suggestions because I dont really care, but by god someone should.

Oh dear who will take daytime naps with all our spoiled childhood celebrities now?
Well, for the King of Pop he could have had a better send-off. Then again, we got our money's worth in the drama department. He packed in so much life into such a short time that he definitely left his mark in pop culture history, even if he's been sort of awkwardly hanging on its periphery the last two decades.

Oh no, this is very very sad news. :(
Although I didnt like his music (except thriller) I was with him in all his troubled years! He was crazy, but in a good and entertaining way.
Rest in peace Michael!
