(with the exception of Sphere and the last book which were ass).
I never read Sphere, though I do own it.
I also own Next, the last book, which I couldn't read past the opening couple of chapters due to a horrible, clunky prose and just plain bad writing in general.
It felt like I was reading an extremely rough draft.
What can I say? I go crazy some days at Half-Price Books... :p

Nobody did more to harm the fight against global warming. A few nice stories, but on balance, I think his passing is a Good Thing.
Quotin dis cause I'm cranky and it's true.

That is because Michael Crichton was a terrible writer. He came up with interesting concepts but that's about as much credit as you can give him.
Still, Sphere holds a special place in my heart, even if it qualifies as utter trash.

and at it's heart a rip-off of Forbidden Planet.

it's heart? Michael Crichton would be ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE, FAF

I have the same feeling (as Stitch) about Sphere ... It's funny that that's turning into the most memorable one around here, considering his large output and/or dodgy reputation.
(I also liked all the chaos theory and science in Jurassic Park, though, everything that didn't make it into the movie. And Andromeda Strain is a sort of classic.)
Even while you're reading Sphere, watching one cheap literary trick roll out after another, still it has a ... quality to it, like a perfectly crafted pulp. Something clicked and I enjoyed that book a lot, despite myself.

I liked Timeline.

Pretty shitty to say that someone dying is a good thing, just because their beliefs differ. But hey, I'd expect nothing less considering the source(s).

Yeah - I'd forgotten Timeline. Great book, another shitty movie. I've actually been meaning to read that again.
If any big fans need solace, I'd recommend F. Paul Wilson's medical thrillers.
