MIB’s bronchial pathways?

Has anyone heard of or know the location of an alleged e-mail (or possibly something else like a book or data cube) that mentions
an 'air filtering system' in MIB’s bronchial pathways?
It is rumored to be in area 51 but I have searched and found nothing.

I'm pretty sure you can open up the resource files and find that information pretty quickly, probably using the SDK. But it's been so long since I opened that creaky thing, don't ask me how :) Might want to search for some threads.

Yes I know about all of that already. Due to my Mac-ishness cannot
run SDK. I have been using (http://nuwen.net/dx.shtml) this site for in-game text. Of course I was unable to find the e-mail and there is a possibility that it is missing from the site. I my self have never seen this e-mail but a number of trust worthy(for the most part) Deus Ex players claim to vaguely remember this e-mail in area 51. I have searched area 51 and cannot find it. I doubt it exists really but an SDK search would certainly put a stop to the rumors.

That's not really the finished version of the MIB article though. It is going to be part of the mass of Deus Ex info that me and (http://www.forumplanet.com/planetdeusex/user.asp?gid=21345541&mid=970615) chris the cynic are putting together.

Having DXGOTY installed at all times it was a 5 min process to get SDK up and running. So now could someone with much better skillzorz than my pitifully primitive knowledge of the DX Editor tell me how in the hell to read emails with it?

Well, actually you don't need the editor to read emails, per se. All in-game text is stored in data files in the DX/System folder. I suppose you could open them in the SDK, but it's not necessary. You can use Notepad or whatever.

The actual in-game "books" - emails, newspapers, datacubes etc. - are stored in DeusExText.u (the link posted above is essentially an annotated version of that file, quite handy) The conversation files are in DeusExConText.u, which is more complicated (and much longer)

A DX info site is a great idea, BTW. :thumb:

Trying to open DeusExText.u or DeusExConText.u with a text program doesn't seem to work.

Something strange... I just finished a packet analysis of the new v1.82 compression protocols we added to Aquinas last week, and while I was digging around in the headers I found a quirk in the security encryption algorithms that acts just like a backdoor -- you could even reformulate entire messages end to end if you knew what you were doing. It's pretty subtle (and would require someone to matrix together several offsets from successive packets to generate a time differential key) but the end result could potentially open up every bit of traffic carried by Aquinas to someone who knew about the hole.

I was thinking of mentioning this to Page, maybe get some points for discovering a potential security breach before we shipped. What do you think?

a lot of these had either < or > which may have gotten cut of, and nearly all of them start with "<"p">" (without quotes) which doesn't seem to show up....eh, I'm not too knowledgaeble in such things. Anyway, doesn't seem like much related to the W/MIB though.
