Ok, not sure if there are any other threads on this but I'm about ready to puke so I'm making a thread...so once again Bush has a hidden agenda for hushing issues such as border security to make a big shit stink about flag burning. (

The SPP recognizes that our three great nations are bound by a shared belief in freedom,
economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions.
right....thats why we got a bunch of illegal Mexicans coming to the US for work....
I'm still reading, but i don't like this one bit, it just figures that all of the sudden we're going to unite with Mexico and Canada...(So we can all help each other!! right guys?!???):(

So your country is ratifying a trade and security agreement with Mexico and Canada.
Such things of course having never occurred anywhere else in the world ever and which will have no impact or importance on your world at all, outside the continuing presence of Mexican cleaners in your apartment building.
Or perhaps they will result in you being legally required to fly the Mexican flag outside your home every day and sit silently by while filthy spics are walking your streets in police uniforms offending every decent nationalist bone in your body.
You disgust me.

Thief13x, you give all other Floridians a bad name. Please grow some common sense before posting again.

and except maybe where my tax dollars and social security fund are going? Sorry if I sound harsh and am embarrasing floridians, but I'm the one who is going to have zero social security in 40 years and THAT is a little more important to me than waving a mexican flag.

HOW DID SOMEONE LIKE YOU EVER GET INTO AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION WHEN THE NOTION OF ACTUAL EDUCATION IS PROBABLY THE MOST VISCERALLY OFFENSIVE THING THERE IS TO YOU

If it's something being pushed by the governments of Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, your starting assumption should be that they are trying to screw the citizens of all three countries over.
Quote:
The dismantling of trade barriers and the opening of markets has led to economic growth and rising prosperity in all three countries.
This part was great. I'm sorry, everyone doesn't agree that that is the case. Many economics argue that it has hurt the American economy, and hurt the Mexican economy.
After reading the SPP page, this looks like they are heading more and more towards continental governance. I don't want to have other countries have a say in how we regulate industry, or how "bottlenecked" our borders are. National governments have decided that they want their regulations to be a certain way for a reason, and I don't see why people who don't live here should have any say in the matter.

Do you not think that President Bush's magic act of turning a $230bn surplus into a $500bn deficit might not have a little more to do with it?

That sentiment would presumably be why the United States did not ratify the Kyoto Protocol. What would those foreigners know? They don't live here.
Not holding out much hope for an American poster to bring up the example of, or even understand the existence of, the European Union.

Good call, god knows we all uniformly subscribe to the "flag-draped-over-eyes" brand of ignorance Thief13x so perfectly displays.
On topic: I'd consider this to be both a good thing and merely a step towards the inevitable.

Look friend, I'm not bringing it up because it doesn't matter that it exists. It's a great example of what I don't want between the U.S and the rest of the Americas. Capisce?
